Concrete Patios in Willow Springs

Want a patio ready before summer? Tell us how you use the yard and we will give you a date.

How Will You Use It?

That question shapes the whole patio. Is it for a dinner table with six chairs? A pair of loungers and a fire pit? A grill station by the back door? We size the patio around what goes on it, plus room to walk around everything, and then fit it to your yard. Next question: where does the water go? Every patio has to shed rain off the house side and out to the grass or some other spot that can soak it up. On sloped Willow Springs lots, we also look at what comes down from uphill so a summer storm does not send a sheet of water across the patio and against your foundation. Below grade, roots get cut, soft dirt gets dug out and packed stone goes in. The slab is usually about 4 inches thick for normal patio use. Joints are laid out around the seating areas so they look intentional, and the finish can be broom, smooth or stamped. And when do you get to use it? We give you a pour date when you sign, and we hold it, so you can plan the first cookout with confidence.

What Your Patio Includes

Everything from layout to cleanup.

  • Sizing around furniture

Dimensions built from what goes on the patio plus walking room.

  • Slope away from the house

Water directed toward the lawn or a drain outlet.

  • Uphill runoff check

On sloped lots, water from above routed around the patio.

  • Base and root removal

Firm soil, roots cut out and compacted stone underneath.

  • Finish choices

Brushed, hard-troweled or stamped stone, with or without a contrast edge.

  • Joints around seating

Laid out so they frame the space.

  • Cleanup

Forms out, edges backfilled, yard left neat.

How Does Your Patio Get Built?

  1. Talk about the yard

What goes on the patio, how many people use it and where water runs. We suggest a size on the call.

  2. Measure, price, date

A site visit to check grade and the door height, then a written price and a pour date.

  3. Build it

Dig, base, forms, pour, finish and joints on schedule. Forms off and cleanup after curing.
